I believe what you need to do is work with the relative CSS files – as this is what controls most of the layout/styling.

So that I can try to best assist you, please provide the url of the site you’re working on,
as well as set “Optimise CSS” to “No” within your Template Manager — General Settings.

Also, it would be helpful to know what kind of modifications you are wanting to make.

    Hi Tom,

thanks for your help. What I try to do is to change the language.

    here is the link :

    http://www.thesunshine.de/

All categories like gesellschaft, welt, wissenswertes use the tiris-blog layout ( settings category K2 ). When I use the basic layout the language is german ( the language settings in joomla are german too ) but when I choose the layout tiris-blog – the language is english.

Thats the reason I want to check if there are any language settings inside these tiris-blog files I have to change.

    Hope you can help …

    thx.

    Hello minas69,

The script layout for tiris-blog is located in “/templates/ja_tiris/html/com_k2/templates/ja_tiris_blog”. You can check “category.php” and “category_item.php” files in this location.

    Best regards.

    Hello minas69,

Language files are located in “/language” folder, you can translate in these language files.

    Regards.

Which part was misunderstood? Perhaps if you explained what you are trying to accomplish a bit clearer.

    that´s fine with me 🙂

    It´s a little bit confused…..

When I choose in backend – edit k2 category and choose sample : default – then the langugage is in k2 frontent category view is ENGLISH…

When I choose to content view (frontend) – the language is GERMAN . . .

When I choose in backend – edit k2 category and choose sample : tiris-blog – both is ENGLISH – category view and content view

The Joomla language is back/and frontend is german. The language files for K2 in german are also installed…

So what I have to do to get german language in tiris-blog view ?

    thanks for your attention TomC
