I have installed this template for joomla 1.5. I’m trying to modify the K2 item.php which is in components/com_k2/templates/default/ but I dont see the changes happening..

Does this template use another item.php stored somewhere else?

Please help.

I checked my localhost. As you said, item.php is in <joomla url>componentscom_k2templatesdefaultitem.php file. You can copy my attached file

item.php is there.. however any modifications I make on that file doesn’t reflect on the site for some reason…

I use cloris 1.5 quickstart. You must modify <jomla url>templatesja_clorishtmlcom_k2templatesja_cloris_blogitem.php file

Khoand is correct, let me explain.

K2 default template is located within the component in <joomla url>componentscom_k2templatesdefault
Any changes to a template at this level is not advisable, because if you update K2, you loose your changes and any new templates.

Instead, if you want to modify the template, then you should do this in the Joomla template just as Khoand has say at <joomla url>templatesja_clorishtmlcom_k2templatesja_ cloris_blog

There are guides for K2 templating on simon.getk2.org and I am writing a special guide for JA.
