December 24, 2013 at 4:59 am #516383Hi iamwe361,
By default, our JA Smashboard template just supports to use the keys (right, left) to move the articles on Category layout with infinity scroll and (up, down) to move the wheel-scroll of wheel navigation.
You can use the 2 first keys above to move the articles without clicking by mouse. You do not need to set any settings here.
December 25, 2013 at 12:03 pm #516497okay, not sure if you understood — question. i do understand the keyboard navigation. i don’t want my users to have to click anything (it is annoying, and we plan to have many articles to scroll through), therefore on mouse over the keyboard i want, the keyboard to be active — instead of having to click or use the scroll button on their mouse… ie mouse over keyboard [Left|right] move articles; and mouse over [Up|Down] move category.

December 26, 2013 at 2:48 am #516525Hi iamwe361,
Thank you for describing your question again. However, we really regret to say that our Smashboard does not support this kind of scroll effect and it is a quite complicated customization task that requires you to have the knowledge of both JS and Css.
In this case, we would like to suggest you to hire or work with an experienced developer to help you handle this task. There are 2 jQuery scroll plugins you guys can try on: Smooth Div Scroll and Simply Scroll. That is all we can suggest you in this concern !
Regards,

December 27, 2013 at 4:52 am #516636Hi iamwe361,
You can find the js files of Infinity Scroll in …templates/ja_smashboard/js/. Especially in script.js, you can find the script codes that defines the Smashboard keyboard navigation between 72-298th lines.
The css styles of related elements (article content, title, category name …) when scrolling by keyboard and mouse scroll are the same so you can find in templates/ja_smashboard/css/template.css file.
