September 10, 2008 at 12:26 pm #269931wow…sorry to hear that. Was it hacked via the template or via joomla?
For example a site of mine was hacked a long ago thru the template. they replaced the template’s index.php with an index.html. I just replaced their index with the one from the original template and it worked… Im not sure if your problem might be worst (like a DB being hacked or something)tonyg Friendtonyg

September 10, 2008 at 12:36 pm #269932Hi
You have to start again. Do you have a backup, if yes then simply start again by restoring the backup, if not then try and retrieve your content and then start again, when I say start again I mean wipe everything off. You most likely can’t log in, so you need to create a second Super Admin via your control panel. You will find all the necessary info here http://docs.joomla.org/Administration_FAQs_Version_1.0#How_do_I_recover_my_admin_password.3F
Whilst you are there, take time to read up on securing your site.
All the best.
September 10, 2008 at 1:21 pm #269938Firstly you have to upgrade to 1.5.7 This is a must. 1.5.6 was bought out because of a basic security flaw in previous versions and now 1.5.7 has been released to fix a few flaws in 1.5.6
All users should read this http://www.joomla.org/announcements/release-news/5212-joomla-157-security-release-now-available.html
You should make sure all of your plug ins and extentions are up to date and read the testamonials, extentions are a common method of back door entry.
You should check here at least weekly http://forum.joomla.org/viewforum.php?f=432
And you should subcribe here http://feeds.joomla.org/JoomlaSecurityNews?format=xml

September 10, 2008 at 7:45 pm #269985Yes. I been awfully busy personalizing the site. Though site security and backup was my next agenda. Very frustrating. I have suspicion that a member here could have done it. It just happened after I post the site to the gallery thread so others could see my work.
But anyway, it happened already. Sad but another lesson learned and challenge in life.
