June 27, 2013 at 4:07 pm #188530There appears to be something wrong with how the template interacts with the Kunena forums. Everything was installed correctly (at least, it was installed just like the userguide said to), but for some reason the boardcode (specifically the toolbar buttons) for the forum are missing completely. See the following image:
Has anyone else experienced this issue?

June 27, 2013 at 4:26 pm #497202Specifically I think it’s an issue with the JA Mitius forum template. If I switch the template back to the default Blue Eagle, all the BBCode buttons appear like they should. It’s only when trying to use the forum template provided with the template that it breaks and the buttons no longer show up.

June 30, 2013 at 11:33 pm #497412That was the very first thing I tried. Kunena is up to date (3.0.1).

July 1, 2013 at 2:09 am #497419Hi fungusmonkey,
There is a js conflict between Kunena component with your default Joomla editor when i checked out your website’s front-end with firebug. So, pls backup your websites then try on below solutions:
Solution 1. Select System – TinyMCE editor in Global configuration (It is default editor on our quickstart demo).
Solution 2. Pls try to test Kunena component on default Joomla template with your installed Joomla editor (not TinyMCE).
Then lets me know your result.

July 1, 2013 at 6:27 pm #4975551) TinyMCE is the default editor we use. Disabling it in favor of another editor (or no editor) does nothing.
2) The Kunena component works fine with the default template and bbCode shows up where it is supposed to. It works correctly with any other template we use it with. The only template it seems to have an issue with is the JA Mitius forum template, regardless of editor.
Is it an issue with plugin order possibly? Is it run off JQuery or Mootools? Is there some conflict in the way the JA Mitius template is set up that is causing this issue? What exact information did you get when you checked the front-end (which conflicts, etc)?

As my experience, the boardcode of Kunena component sometimes gets conflict with JCE editor. That is why I suggested you to change the default editor. Anyways, I will check & give you the better solution in details if you can send me PM with your admin login for checking this issue.phong nam Friendphong nam

July 2, 2013 at 2:29 am #497610Hi fungusmonkey,
The reason: It seems that you upgraded our JA Mitius J2.5 template quickstart to Joomla 3.1.1 which causes our customized js for Kunene J2.5 component not work well. That is why the boardcode bar didn’t appear when you create new topic on Kunena.
The solution: Our template dev team is working to release new update of JA Mitus template which contains our customized js of Kunena component on Joomla 3.x. Hope you can wait for it.

July 10, 2013 at 1:15 am #498456Any rough idea on an ETA for that?
Or at least a little more information on what part of the js isn’t working? I have no problem getting in there and trying to fix things as long as you can point me in the general direction.

July 10, 2013 at 1:28 am #498458Hi fungusmonkey.
You can use Firebug to detect the conflict js functions, then you can fix if posible. As I mentioned, the next version of JA Mitius 3.1 quickstart with our customized Kunena js will be available in next monthly update. Kindly wait for it.

July 21, 2013 at 3:54 pm #499741It looks as if there was an update to the JA Mitius 3.1 quickstart, did it contain the updated Kunena js as you mentioned? Looking through the archive, I don’t see anything under component… which files will I need to update/replace in order to fix this issue?

July 22, 2013 at 10:14 am #499790Hi fungusmonkey,
We only included the some bug fixes in recent update of JA Mitius template. The Kunena 3.0 component will be added in the next update of JA Mitius 3.1 quickstart. Our dev team has other priority tasks to finish before starting to update this template quickstart.

Do you mean the monthly update that was released on the 15th? Because I don’t see anything in that update about fixing the Kunena javascript. Or did I miss a file?
Or do you mean NEXT month’s update (presumably in August)?
