July 31, 2013 at 2:51 am #500684I did check your reply above. However, “Our dev team has other priority tasks to finish before starting to update this template quickstart” is not an actual answer. It’s a delay tactic because it could literally mean anything. It could mean your dev team might be starting on it next week, or it could mean your dev team might be starting on it next year.
However, seeing as how I was just getting the runaround instead of even just a rough ETA on when the fix would be included I went ahead and just fixed the issue myself. In case anyone has a similar issue (or so that you can just go ahead and include this in your next quickstart since I already did the work for you) –
The problem is that MooTools 1.4.5 made certain API changes that deprecated some of the code in your forum template. For a full list of API changes, you can simply go here: https://github.com/mootools/mootools-core/wiki/Upgrade-from-1.2-to-1.3-or-1.4 and it will tell you which changes were made, notably both the errors listed above, as well as a few others.
However, for a much faster fix that is easier, you can simply:
- go to: http://mootools.net/download and download the file that says “MooTools Core 1.4.5 with compatibility”. This is the latest version of MooTools, but it also includes legacy code for older scripts.
- Navigate to the media/system/js folder on your server, rename mootools-core.js to mootools-core.js.old
- rename the file you downloaded in Step 1 to mootools-core.js and upload it to media/system/js
Bingo. All the new hotness of MooTools 1.4.5 without the deprecated code issues.
Now THAT is an actual answer.

July 31, 2013 at 7:39 am #500724Hi fungusmonkey (thats a funny nickname),
As leo said above, the team is busy with upgrading templates to Joomla 3.1.x update and the monthly release. The Kunena and JomSocial RC release update is scheduled after that.
As we have repeatedly said about 3rd party extensions upgrades, we line them up after our priority tasks. Kunena upgrade will not be just for JA Mitius but also for T3 framework compatibility and other templates using Kunena in the demo site.
We are already working hard for the 3rd party extensions compatibility across our club templates, you can check this screenshot for whats coming up.
Regards
Arvind
