I have installed Labra and the associated modules with no problem.

Regarding the Typography, if I want the special features (bubbles, highlights, bignumers…) I need to code them everytime or is it possible to integrate them in the tiny editor?

    Thanks

    That would be neat! 😉

Do not mean to hi-jack this post – still looking forward to an answer to the original question – however, I was wondering if somebody could enlighten me as to how to produce the variations of unordered lists that are presented in the guide (stars etc). Indenting does not seem to do the trick…

    Thanks!

Nearly a year on but perhaps this reply will help someone! I expect I have got some of the following wrong but invite the experts to correct it. I would have appreciated more help in the JA Labra user Guide on using the typography.

I installed JA Labra a couple of days ago and spent several hours experimenting with the typography in the JCE editor. If you configure the editor to point at the template file templates/$template/css/typo.css the editor does a pretty good job of allowing its user to set desired styles. The user has to use a combination of the Styles and Paragraph drop-down controls where all the styles described in the typography guide http://template15.joomlart.com/ja_labra/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=44&Itemid=53 are selectable. However there was some typography that I could only get completely correct by editing the HTML directly. That is a pity since the concept behind a CMS such as Joomla is that it should be possible for non-technical people to edit the content. I will describe the tricky typography next.

Graphic bullets for unorder lists (star, arrow etc)
Unfortunately the guide doesn’t give an example of the HTML but this is explained elsewhere in the forums. The trick is to style the ul tag and not the individual li tags. For example, <ul class=”star”>. I started by applying the star Style using the JCE control but I had to edit the HTML manually to get it in the correct place.

    Bubbles
JCE made a reasonable stab at styling the text for the text in the bubble and the author but I couldn’t find a way to insert the five nested divs without editing the HTML. Check and double check the number and correct matching of the <div></div> pairs.

Noteclip, download, blockquotes and block numbers
The main thing here is to select the whole paragraph of text when required. For the block numbers, be sure to use two-digit numbers such as 02 rather than just 2; otherwise there will be insufficient space for the surrounding disk.

    Legend
I found there was insufficient space under the legend text so you may have to proceed the body text with a blank paragraph or <br />.

I came to the conclusion that for the styles that cannot be set directly using the editor controls it would be easier to paste in the required HTML from a set of standard examples. JCE provides a means to set up such standard reusable texts but you have to use an extension to JCE that requires the paid-for subscription. If you use the editor WYSIWYGPro 3 (also only available for a small fee) there is also a ‘snippet’ facility.
