Dear JA, I have:
1) Language module activated 2) Language plugin activated 3) Assign language module to all pages 4) Uploaded language file
And, instead the language flags, I see the attach empty square in the place (right) of the language switcher. How can I solve it?
Thanks!

July 8, 2017 at 6:45 pm #1046963First of all, thank for your kindly reply and sorry for my delay.
1) I have installed the languages, activated all plugins and module, I have created all categories and all contents in all languages; I have created all association for article and category but maybe I do some error with menù.
2) I have created 2 menus for italian and english languages, with 2 elements, linked to 2 articles (each element for each language in each menu). So I have 3 menu: default, italian, english. I see the italian and english flags in this 2 menus.
3) I have created in main default menu, for each element, 2 other element for each language. Now, I see the language choosing menu, but I don’t see all menu voices (for each language, I see only the "default" single voice for each element).
I have the tutorial read but I am sure, I am wrong with main manu multi language creations. Starting from last good point (1), I have only to create, starting only from main default menu (I deleted the 2 other language menu), the correspondent menu elements for each other language. What is the correct way to do this?
Thank all!
EDIT: following this tutorial https://docs.joomla.org/J3.x:Setup_a_Multilingual_Site/Creating_menus I have also tried to unpublish the main menu… But where is in the modules list? I don’t find it!

July 12, 2017 at 2:59 am #1047932Hi,
You can find modules under admin panel > Extensions > Modules.
If there is anything you can’t achieve, pls describe in details and share the credentials of your site so I will take a look.

July 17, 2017 at 7:09 am #1049045Hi,
As I can see that the main menu works fine in each language, did you get it solved?
July 20, 2017 at 8:18 am #1050068Is not solved and the menu doesn’t work correctly.
1) If I try to search the "main menu module" to deactivate it, I don’t find in module list. Where is the main menù module (the default main menu, not the multi language one)?
2) If I try to add some other voices to language menu, I see only the main menu voices and the only voices of the other languages menù I put as "default".Due to this reason, I done something wrong in menu creations. As you can see, if you add i.e. a voice on multi languages menu not flagged as default, this voice don’t appear. I tried to follow the step in the tutorial linked, but the result is not the same.
NB: the only part I think cause the problem is the "menu creation" part, the others I think are correct. Can you please help me? Is very urgent. Thank for your reply and sorry for delay (I was in hospital).

July 21, 2017 at 9:25 am #1050408Hi,
As I can see that you put English menu items and Italian ones into the default menu, this is not correct way.
- You created menus correctly: 1 default menu, 1 menu for English and 1 for Italian
-
In Extensions > Templates > JA Decor > you need to duplicate style for each language, for example: JA – Decor (EN) + JA – Decor (IT)
- In each template, you go to ‘Navigation’ tab and select the appropriate menu of that language to show. For instance, in JA – Decor (EN) style, you will load the Main EN menu on your site.
I hope this makes senses.
