    Hi,
    we installed latest German language files for J! & K2.
    However there are some words in cat/article view of K2 which are still shown in English (see attachment).

    Any ideas?
    Frank

    Hello Frank,

    Please check if your German language file has following language strings or not:

    K2_WRITTEN_BY
    K2_CATEGORY
    K2_READ_MORE

    Regards.

    Hi Stork11,

    I can locate the following Terms with correct Translation in “de-DE.com_k2.ini”:

    K2_WRITTEN_BY
    K2_READ_MORE

    K2_CATEGORY was not there – I added it.

    However there is no effect at frontend – in which file can I check what variables are used?
    Any other ideas?

    Please try to clean your site cache, then refresh your site to see the result. If problem still occurs, please PM me your site information (your site URL, your site admin account) and your FTP account? So I can diagnose this problem.

    BTW, please include this forum thread URL in your PM, so I can follow it.

    Regards.

    Hello Frank,

    Your site loads “/language/en-GB/en-GB.tpl_ja_university.ini” language file and language texts overwrites the one in K2 language files :

    K2_WRITTEN_BY="By"
    K2_PUBLISHED_DATE_ON="On"
    K2_CATEGORY="In"
    K2_READ_MORE="Read more"
    K2_DATE_FORMAT_LC1="%A, %d %B %Y %H:%M"

    So you have 2 options:
    1. Remove above language texts in “/language/en-GB/en-GB.tpl_ja_university.ini” file.
    2. Translate “/language/en-GB/en-GB.tpl_ja_university.ini” file to German.

    Regards.
