March 2, 2014 at 1:21 pm #195363How can I show the active language flag in the sec nav Ikon position similar to http://www.joomlart.com/demo/#ja_teline_iv ?
I have assigned the Falang language switcher module to the Twitter Ikon position on test site:

March 3, 2014 at 10:45 am #525078I have configured directly on your site with EN and FR language. You can show other languages on your site as well. Here are steps:
+ Go to Admin site -> Duplicate the Menu Items for each language.
+ Go to Module Manager -> Language Switcher module, set to show it in languageswitcherload position (I helped you on this)
The switch language should show in front-end as in this screenshot:

March 3, 2014 at 1:08 pm #525089Thanks,
What happened to the Homepage? I tried re-assigning the JA Featured News module to the new homeen menu but without any luck.
UPDATE: OK I found the Home en and Home fr pages and re-assigned the fp modules etc, etc.
Having around 60 categories (menu items) and 6 languages, if I fully populate this test site, makes using the default languages method a somewhat daunting task. Also, as it is not a normal multilanguage site I need first of all to know how to deal with the problem of frequent 404s.
To illustrate: Go to the French Homepage. http://217.199.187.59/tecsa.com/joomla2/index.php/fr/
You’ll see the latest news article titles in JA Tabs are only French articles. Now click on any article in, say, Featured News, that looks like it is in English, (ie. not French) and you’ll get a loud 404. I would prefer that the site language simply changed automatically to reflect the language of the article selected regardless of the previously selected language flag.
The site does not contain any article translations in the normal sense. It is mostly articles in English but with some in other languages, all mixed up, but with languages tags set.
Note: Some articles may still be set to ALL which might confuse you. They should be set to English, French, German etc.
How should one set the default posting language for each user (author, editor etc) to a specific language instead of defaulting to ALL?

March 4, 2014 at 4:29 am #525174If you need to build a multi language your site, you have to clone content on your site to match each language.
Please have a look at this article to know more about multilingual setting up.
Meanwhile, you can try out JA Multilingual component also. Our demo uses this tool to handle multi language.
(P/S: Please back-up on your site first)
