Using J1.5.7, JF2RC, JDRIMIA, JOOMLA EDITOR

    Dear Sirs:

    1. When we create a article with large amount of text, template is not showed correctly, it change modules places like crazy.

    2. If we copy a large text from MSWORD, WORDPAD or NOTEPAD and paste it into the editor, only partial of the text is pasted.

How we fix both issues ?

    Best regards,

It is hard to tell what your site is doing without a live site address. Have you tried downloading the Joomla Content Editor? That’s what we use and I think it is much better: Click here. We still type things in MS Word then paste into notepad before we do a final paste into the editor.

    1. When you create articles with a lot of text, are you creating page breaks? I have some articles with quite a bit of text without creating a page break, with no problem. Here is a samle of one of my bigger pages: PAGE

    2. I have noticed some of these problems with with pasting text into TinyMCE from word or another source. I have found that the best way for me to get text from other sources is to past it into the html screen first and then style the text. Just this weekend, I spent many hours correcting my content and would love to hear about a better solution.

    Dear Artaddicted:

I tried to copy into html screen, same result, only part of the text is pasted. The doc I’m trying to copy and paste from word has 30 pages (legal doc), only 15 pages are pasted.

I’m assuming there must be some command indicating the size of text you can paste into editor. Where ? I do not know, due to the replies received on different forum I posted the issue, there is no much info about this.

Hope some guru read this and help me.

    Best regards,

I have two other ideas for you. They may not be exactly what you want, but may do for now until you find that guru help.

    1. How about publishing a PDF in a wraper. Take a look at this sample: SAMPLE.
    2. You could store your document in something like DOCman. I am using it on my site, if you want to take a look.: HERE

You have most likely considered these options, but I thought I would throw it out for you. The PDF form would provide a little security for the document content. I think the DOCman would allow you to post a word doc file, PDF or other extensions. Unfortunatly, the content of these two options would not be indexed by Google.

If you do find a beter solution, please post here as well, I may be able to make use of it as well.
