Hi
I need a larger logo for either a bigger gif or text. If I use a logo gif instead of text will it effect the seo of the home page?

So long as you utilize other keywords and meta tags as part of your Home page – including your page title (within global configurations), these should work for seo purposes regardless of whether you utilize a logo image or not. Most contemporary websites utilize logo images, I believe.
