Latest pack (1.0.2) of Quickstart J2.5 doesnt seem to work ok.
GUI is missing and Sample Data cannot be installed.
(the 3.0 pack installation works though)
Same problems after testing 2 downloads and 2 clean installations.

Hi Peter,

Here is my Server Configuration

Apache Version : 2.2.22

PHP Version : 5.3.13

MySQL Version : 5.5.24

Loaded Extensions : Core bcmath calendar com_dotnet ctype date ereg filter ftp hash iconv json mcrypt SPL odbc pcre Reflection session standard mysqlnd tokenizer zip zlib libxml dom PDO Phar SimpleXML wddx xml xmlreader xmlwriter apache2handler mbstring gd mysql mysqli pdo_mysql pdo_sqlite mhash xdebug

I can install sample data and quickstart works as intended.

Please check again. If you use editor like Firebug in Firefox, try to check the error tab in order to see whether there is any error appear when you install this quickstart package.

Solved the problem, didnt figure out the reason though….
To keep track of what i install on my servers i always use a prefix in the name of the folder,
for Joomlart its ja_ for an example. Just to make it easier to recognize things among all
my test installations of Joomla. Always done this without problems, but as not working
on this release i tried to change the folder name and renamed ja_vintas to just vintas.
To my big surprise it now works! If i rename it back i instantly get the same problem..
Strange……
