Ok, I have been searching the forums and tried all the hints and tips that relate to timezone problems in Teline IV but I simply cannot find the solution to my problem:

Let’s say I create a new article and the article’s creation date in the backend composition is shown correctly with the current date and for example a time of 15:15:30. I post the article and Teline IV shows in the topbar the Last Update time as 12:15:30. No matter what I do, the latest update time is always by off by -3 hours.

I have even tried to offset the time by setting the timezone locale in the joomla configuration wrong but that setting seems to be ignored by the “latest update” function in the topbar entirely.

It is already bad enough that Joomla totally ingores DST (daylight savings time) but for a news centered website (and Teline IV is obviously made for and intended to be used for that purpose exactly) the latest update time function is really not just a gimmick but a very useful and important function – if it would work correctly.

Could somebody please explain to me how the “latest update” function in the topbar works? Where do these -3 hours come from?

Or if all else fails – isn’t there some trick or hack I can use to just add 3 hours automatically to the time stamp in the “latest update” function?

Please – I am really stumped and frustrated and I really need to get this to work…

Thanks for any input or insight anybody can offer.

    Clemens
