September 10, 2009 at 6:11 pm #144092Hello All,
I am proud to announce the launch of the first version of JBook, the first component developed by me & another developer.
Features of JBook:
* JBook is a component for books management.
* It allows to split up the classification in categories and
subcategories, with a tree structure, without limits in number of sub-children levels.
* Info about each book
* Info about each author
* Automatic re-size of book covers
* Registered users can rate and comment every book
* Search options for Jbook
* Users can suggest books
* You can navigate even for author, editor.
* Users can also ask for more information on the book by sending an email to the site administrator.
* Jbook is presently available in English only.The beta is up and ready for download. This is a pre-release so we would like to know all the bugs that you can find. The listing has been submitted but will take time to list.
Do visit http://www.joomlareaders.com & Register to download this component.
Also leave your bugs, requests and comments on the forums, so that we can work on them to help you out better.
Regards,
Mihir Chhatre.

September 10, 2009 at 8:11 pm #317033That was quick! Well done.
I think you should add more items to the demo to give visitors a better idea of what can be done. I think this component has many uses and not just books?

Hello,Thanks for the advice, I will add more items to the demo.
Well Yes, it can be used for many other purposes than just books.
I have already made a roadmap for the things to do, and making different options available is one of them.
Do post the bugs that you find in the forum.
