Would you please explain how to switch between the eight different layouts given in the Teline template? For example how would I make the front page 1 right cols or masscol?

A lot of this is Joomla related its why you have the administrator backend this is where you manage all the stuff like that while each template has its layouts you change columns ( 1 2 3 etc in Joomla
There are a lot of guides out there and in our general section are some great web based tutorials on how to use joomla basic and advanced
hope this explainsCheers ShannonN

I’d appreciate it if you could just point me to where I should change the columns, then I shall figure out the rest.ShannonN FriendShannonN

open ‘Joomla Layout Tutorials’ select ‘change the front page layout’ in that you’ll see where to change columns areas etc
hope this is what you wanted
ShannonNJuly 6, 2007 at 1:28 pm #223681Thank you for your pointer. I had already seen this video but it hadn’t made sense to me. I’ve had another think about it and I realise that I have to turn the modules on and off in order to change the layout as well as the row etc under menus.

yes that always helps:)
There is a 200 page guide to joomla admin very in depth easy to read and about 25 bucks when I brought it its at compassdesigns.net I won’t include the actual link as that’s considered inappropriate sometimes ppl think its an affiliate link or something:)
July 6, 2007 at 5:49 pm #223704Cheers, I’ve already read a couple of the bad ones it’d be good to read a good one.:)
PS. I have now paid for, downloaded and read about half of said book. I wish I had bought this to begin with instead of a well-meaning and possibly poorly translated equivalent. Cheers muchly for the tip. Michael

just don’t publish any modules to the column (like left or right) that you want to collapse on a particular page. its that simple,
