Because JA-Social template is not yet upgrade to support latest Jomsocial version. But you can use the default layout on Jomsocial

Thanks for the info, any idea by when Ja-Social will be compatible or are you waiting for Joomla 3 ?
Any of your other templates work with the latest Jomsocial?
