    Hi,

There is no specific template for that kind of website but our templates should meet all the requirements default Joomla supports, is there any specific features/standards that kind of template should meet?

We are looking for template with services are aimed at young people, specifically aged between 13-19 and up to 25 with learning difficulties / disabilities. Because of the target demographic we would like the website to be easily accessible and customisable to all potential users. It must also be engaging and interesting from the perspective of a young person.

Our other audience may be schools or education practitioners. Within these sections information would ideally be presented in a different manor.

We would like all visitors to the site to be able to freely browse the information provided and for them to access all areas and content. We would also like for visitors to have the option to engage with the site through live chat, interactive map, photos, videos and email subscription.

We are aiming to provide broad, basic information on the website and make it simple and intuitive for them to contact us for more information or to use our services face to face, which is ultimately the main benefit to accessing our services.

Technical specifications requirements for the website are as follows:

    • To be compatible with a Microsoft IIS 7.5> hosting solution.
    • To be built using a future proof language and NOT use flash media.
    • To be compatible with modern internet browsers IE11, EDGE, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Firefox Quantum, Safari.
    • To allow webpage scaling for viewing on mobile devices or specific mobile site version switching dependant on browser detection.
    • To provide accessibility features for the website including font scaling and high contrast. These features must be available on each navigable webpage and advertised on the site homepage.

    Non-functional requirements

    • We would like the site to be managed and updated by staff with a range of CMS software options to select from
    • We would like the site to be mobile compatible
    • We would like the site to be accessible and customisable for people with learning disabilities, for those who may have sensory impairments and for those who English is not their first language
    • Loading times when interacting with website should be of at least average speed and not noticeably lag
    • Depending on whether data is asked of people, or whether young people can use the website to sign up to a mailing list, our data protection information & privacy notice will need to be displayed
    • Links to feedback sites i.e. Survey Monkey

I have done a bit more research and found out that for disability templates there are templates done using Joomla WCAG 2.0 compliant template. Do you have any such templates here?

    Hi,

At this moment, it’s not fully compatible with WCAG 2.0 but the team already had plan to update WCAG 2.0 for our templates soon.

    Regards
