I’ve encountered a strange problem with the left column. The color disappears on me, so the background of the left column becomes white.

It’s happened on two sites I’ve been working on:

Has anyone else had this problem? If so how did you fix it?

I tried to fix it on a test site by creating a new image file, but I can’t seem to get the color to change on the entire module, just on the menu background. http://csmadventurecamp.com/test/

Any help would be appreciated… I’m brand new to CSS so feel free to talk to me like a 6 year old.
