I notice there is a blank box appears on the left column, it appears in some pages – when I click the main menu or any article from the homepage. I did not create any content or menu for the left column. See attached image

How can i fix this?

It appears to be trace from some module which is enabled to specific position

Please re-check. Also, You can quickly locate the module by using ctrl+f in module manager and ensure that you have set all modules to show
