When I set the Wistery template to narrow width, the left column, which contains my menus, drops down and leaves lots of white space. Any idea what part of the template needs to be tweaked? I’ve tried removing the bg image from the column and that did not help.

The problem should come from your mainmenu module. Which version of Joomla do you use? Do you use default mainmenu module or use a third party one?
I’ve just updated this template to fix a small bug when there’s no bottom spotlight module. You should download the latest version and update your template.

I use Joomla! 1.0.12 and the default mainmenu module. I’ve made some changes to the CSS and would hate to lose them by updating the template.

1. Would updating a specific template file make a difference, and if so, which one? Could I ftp the file or do I need to use the “install”?
2. Would adding a bottom spotlight module push the menu back up?

Thanks – I love the template and am hoping this will be a quick fix.

That is a minnor update and you don’t need to update your template. The update and bottom spotlight also cannot fix your problem because the problem is related to your mainmenu module.
If you could PM me a temporary super administrator account, I could take a look on your problem.
