Hi. Here is my website url:
http://vitruvian.funterz.com/Please go to the Products & Services/Evention/Evention Gratuities from the top menu.
Now when in the Evention Gratuities page, you will notice that in the left menu I am still
shown the 1st level menu items. Now when you click on “Evention” in the left menu, then the
sub-menu opens up for the 2nd level sub-menu.
Why this sub-menu does not open when I go to the link from the top menu as we did in the first step? Please help me resolve this issue.
Thanks,
~AmitOctober 10, 2008 at 2:11 pm #274617I have the same problem with Joomla 1.5.7!!!
October 10, 2008 at 4:23 pm #274637Seems that this is still an issue with the JA purity template… 🙁
Hope this will be resolved..

October 10, 2008 at 10:56 pm #274684Hey, I do not know if you already solved your problem but in Google Chrome everything is displayed as it should be, there is not one error you mention and also not any other error with the menu. I also do not know if this helps you with other browsers but when it is good with Google Chrome it also works in FF, and with IE, there are always problems with the menu and there I would ask JA directly and than post the answer here, as the site seems to become a site where it is truly important to have it also working in IE!
Google Chrome is the new browser by Google also based on Firefox…for those who still do not know…;)
October 10, 2008 at 11:01 pm #274685That should not be the case.
When you click on Evention Gratuities from the top menu, does it show up in the left side menu? For me, the left menu opens only when I click on “Evention” in the left menu…
Also, Google Chrome has a lot of CSS compatibility issues. In it everything is misplaced..
Don’t know how you are able to see everything properly in Chrome!!Weird…
Thanks for your comments though.. 🙂

To point this out…
When you click on E.G. in the top menu you open a different article than when first clicking on Evention in the left menu and it is shown there as sub link, when you now click on E.G. in this menu, the same article open like when clicking on the top menu drop down. 🙂
I think this not an error of a browser to not open the left side menu but of the configuration of the modules. Normally both menus are not one module but two so why should the left menu work in conjunction with the top menu when you do not configure it that way in the admin? One can also configure a menu to display all sublinks all the time for example also when only one specific page is currently active. I also work with Non-JA templates and also there are sometimes more ways to adjust the templates and menus but as both menus are always not one, you must adjust both to do the same. It is looking like menu one does not know or even care what menu 2 does, like two people are holding 2 of the same books another person reads and do not switch pages at the same time, you have to sync both to automatically switch the pages when the other does. 😉
I work only with Chrome and no template I work with or look at has CSS errors, that is why I can only say ???… Sometimes there are errors with the memory Chrome needs and some YouTube Videos are not shown or the script is inresponsive when a site loads stupid video stuff, but I see the same as when using FF.

October 11, 2008 at 3:04 am #274715Hi Amit2403,
I browse your site on FF and see that there is a problem as you said in the forum. I really don’t know how you set menu paramaters for this. I set up a demo site and tested what you said but I see my site works fine with the menu. Go my demo site to see: http://laws.tinhdo.net
Maybe it is not Ja Purity’s menu error. May you install a demo site to test the problem again.
Thanks

October 11, 2008 at 3:10 am #274717I had the same problem and discovered the cache plugin was set to enabled by default, so was not not see the changes as i made them, i hope is something as simple as this, make sure it is disabled
October 13, 2008 at 8:47 am #275000I’ve the problem with chrome and with cache disabled. Maybe is the menu item duplicated. Two menu (one on main menu and one the left) open the same article…
October 13, 2008 at 4:01 pm #275055I re-create one menu and the problem is solved, BUT the other menu on the left is very BIG and I can’t to create another time!!!
What’s the problem?
Is there another way to solve?October 13, 2008 at 10:32 pm #275107Thanks for all of your replies..
I fixed the above issue by linking the menus to an external link and adding the left menus links to the top menu..
Since there is no AJAX stuff here, I don’t mind this.. 🙂Thanks,
