September 8, 2008 at 1:33 pm #133101Hi again, I looked through this forum and did not see this issue come up. On this page…
http://www.stjarnan-karfa.is/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=8&Itemid=7
when mouse is rolled over the left menu there is a problem with something overshadowing the left side of the menu box. Could someone help me with this please?
Best wishes,
Bragi

September 8, 2008 at 1:44 pm #269490Hi Bragi
Read through this post and try the solution
http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/problem-in-ie7/
You can fix it following way below :
add following code section :ul.menu {
}ul.menu li {
width: 99%;
}to the template.css file in templatesja_faguscss folder.
Hope this helps

September 9, 2008 at 10:31 am #269713Hi again, I noticed another problem with the menu width, and since i am getting such great respons from here it seems the easyest way to go. If you click this link…
http://www.stjarnan-karfa.is/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=8&Itemid=7
you can see that thr right side of the left menu is cut off. Any ideas?

September 9, 2008 at 11:20 am #269728Think you will find that is simply down to the number of letters in your links….the image is being cut slightly if your links were smaller in length then the full box would be visable….I THINK!!
Try losing the -eldri and the -yngri and see if this solves it

September 9, 2008 at 11:43 am #269734Here is what I would do to solve it.
Copy your Karfan.is module.
manualy enter all the required link and link them to their destination page
Unglingaflokkur
Drengjaflokkur
11. flokkur
9. flokkur
8. flokkur
7. flokkur
Minni bolti – eldri
Minni bolti – yngrisave it and call it something else, publist to left and all should be well ๐

September 9, 2008 at 11:56 am #269735Hi, karfan.is modul is a rss feed…
But i think this only happened when I added that code (posted earlier in this thread) to fix the previous problem I had here heh ๐ Wonder if it could be something with that?This happens with all the menu models I am using….

September 9, 2008 at 2:59 pm #269764Well you could cut the earlir code…I would consider changing your menu type to Son of Suckerfish (number 2 on menu options) this will allow you to create some nicer additions to your lefthand side like mine. ๐

September 11, 2008 at 1:44 pm #270092Hi,
I cut the code out and the boxes were fixed… so it is something with the code. Now the original problem as first reported in this thread is back ๐ http://www.stjarnan-karfa.is/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=15&Itemid=18Also the box on the front page with the rss feed is broken now… hehe I am not understanding this ๐ Anyone have any ideas?
Best wishes,
Bragi

September 11, 2008 at 4:14 pm #270109Did you consider changing your menu to son of suckerfish? Your menu’s would not be on the left hand side and you would not have the problem

October 4, 2008 at 8:24 pm #273853Hi again,
I decided to put this on hold for a few days hoping it would solve it self by some miracle ๐ But no.. it didn’t. So I am back on square 1 with this matter.This newest code you suggested did not change anything. But the original code in the beginning of this thread works on solving the original problem but now the right side of the box is cut off, as can be seen here… http://www.stjarnan-karfa.is/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=15&Itemid=18
I hope someone can solve this for me.. I am getting close to launch deadline on this project :(.
Best wishes,
Bragi

October 4, 2008 at 8:28 pm #273854Hmmm it seems I have solved it by changing that original code.
It was…
ul.menu {
}ul.menu li {
width: 99%;
}But I changed the witdh to 90%. It seems ok now.. I hope it stays that way ๐
