I enabled JARounded for the left side modules as I like the fact that they can be coloured etc.. but these modules now appear to be collapsible.
I know from the Joomla 1.5 version of Purity II you could exclude certain right side modules from being collapsible and even turning the feature of all together
Is there anyway to do this with Purity II on Joomla 1.6/1.7?

July 25, 2011 at 8:10 am #402857Hi,
As per my knowledge to keep any position appearing in your site, you need to have atleast one module published in that position, otherwise it will disappear since there is nothing to show there..
Can you please tell me why do you need to show any positions that dont have any content to display? Or tell me what exactly you are trying to achieve..A screenshot showing your end result would be better.
July 25, 2011 at 11:54 am #402917Hi,
Thanks for your response however I think you have misinterpreted what I was asking. I changed the module layout style for modules on the left and if I select to show title for the module the header also displays the the little arrow that allows the user to collapse the module to just the header, I would prefer not to have this on certain modules such as the login module.
If you take a look at the attached picture you will see what I mean.
On the Joomla 1.5 version of the template there is an option in the template config to stop right hand modules being collapsible or to state which ones you want to exclude from being collapsible.

July 25, 2011 at 12:33 pm #402924Ok I got your problem now but I could not see it with either JA Purity || or any JA templates that I checked randomly.. As i understand , this functionality may be result of the template being used but I could not reproduce it at my end. Can you tell me which template your are using and if the Login module is default module of joomla or any other module and if you have specified any module class suffix to it or any such details, using which i can reproduce the issue and provide a solution..
If possible, send me your site admin details so that I can check if this is happening with JA templates or not, and if it is then with which JA template..
July 27, 2011 at 5:02 pm #403340Hi,
I am using the latest version of JA Purity II for Joomla 1.6/1.7, the login module is the default login module. As far as I believe I have not used in module class suffix, all I changed was the default layout to include the left module position to use JArounded.
I have set you up a login for my site which I sent to you in a PM.
Cheers
Thanks

July 28, 2011 at 9:45 am #403421Hi,
Open templates/ja_purity_ii/js folder and delete ‘ja.rightcol.js’. That will remove the arrow for show / hide the modules with JARounded style.
