Hi

I have a website where I post a lot of stories everyday on my front page of the website. I am using the AiDaNews module for my front page.

This module give you an option Show Description – which I have chosen yes
Then it gives you an option Shorten, this allows you to chose the number of characters to display, currently mine is set to 222.

I have tried to set this to 500 before but when it displays on the front page, it does not give any spacing or paragraphs.

What I am trying to achieve with my front page is to be able to post an article and on the front page have a good intro, so when someone reads the intro they know what the story is about. A perfect example of what I am trying to achieve is smashingmagazine.com , here you will see they have a very good intro to their posts.

On my website aaabackstage.com you will notice the intro is cut off and is controlled by the AiDaNews module setting.

My question is : Is there a way around this issue using the AiDaNews module? if not what other options do I have to achieve the desired effect like on smashingmagazine.com?

Hi,
It seems that the issue is caused by AidaNews module and not concern to JA template, so I can not help you in this case. You should report it to the module’s developers.
