June 22, 2011 at 10:04 am #165536Hello,
I have few questions about Licensing my websites.
My questions are:
1- Do I need to license my domains?
2- If YES, what is best and simplest process to do that?
3- What are risks of NOT licensing?
4- What happens when I license my domains and then my subscription to JoomlArt expires? Ho would that affect my license/domains?PS: I think it would be useful to have a tutorial about licensing.
Most of the licensing threads I have read are few years old.Anonymous ModeratorJA Developer

June 23, 2011 at 7:06 am #397983Hi,
Please see my answers on your questions one by one as follows:
1- Do I need to license my domains?
>> Ans: Yes,
2- If YES, what is best and simplest process to do that?
>> Please log into our url http://www.joomlart.com/member/yourdomain.php and register your licensed domains there. We will use those declarations for further track down on your legal usage. Based on the membership packages you have purchased. The system will automatically updated the total of licensed domain you can add.3- What are risks of NOT licensing?
>> Any site using our templates must be verified on our site for legal usage and they will be called ‘licensed domain’. If not, they are supposed to be illegal usage. Whenever there is a dispute or illegal report relating to our templates, we shall track on our system for those illegal unregistered domains and our system shall automatically search to ensure that all of our products are legally used as per our terms of use.
4- What happens when I license my domains and then my subscription to JoomlArt expires? Ho would that affect my license/domains?
>> After your membership expires, your domains still are licensed domains forever if they are already verified so that please make sure that you register your domain on our site via: http://www.joomlart.com/member/yourdomain.php before expiry date for legal usage or you could not update/edit it after expiry date.PS: I think it would be useful to have a tutorial about licensing. Most of the licensing threads I have read are few years old.
>> You can find our terms and conditions in more details via: http://www.joomlart.com/joomlart/terms-of-use. However, i will report your suggestion to our upper management for consideration.Regards,

Hi JA Developer,
Thank you for your answers.
I have tried to use the above link in order to license my domains. I am getting a “Page Not Found!”, error 404.
Let’s say that my domain is http://www.mysite.com
I used: “http://www.joomlart.com/member/mysite.com.php”
is that correct? If so, I am getting a 404.
Please let me know.

No, to verify your domain, please log into: http://www.joomlart.com/member/yourdomain.php >> Then add the domain there, our system will automatically updated the total of licensed domain you can add.
Kindly try and let me know if you need more info.
Thanks.
