Hey all…I wanted to ask about the Lighbox and how i can enable/configure it in your various
templates…is it available in all templates?? I have used lightwindow in css designs but never in Joomla.

Any help for this newbie *chuckles* would be appreciated!! I learn fast however and most probably will figure it out sooner rather than later…..

Hi cms_rule,
Lightbox and lightwindow is not available in all templates but you can enable it for joomla by add lightbox’s css and js file in to your site. Then add <blockquote>rel=”lightbox”</blockquote> in link which you want to use light box. One note is you can use slimbox Which is has same function but size smaller a lot.

There are also some mambots for the lightbox effect available on joomla.org.
A nice one is for example simple image gallery which is available on the joomla.org
extension section.
But there are many other mambots as well, such as multithumb and more.
They all work with the lightbox or slimbox script and you just need to follow the
instructions of the developers how to use them when inserting images in your content.
Usually they explain it very well and it’s not too difficult to understand.
