In ACM module settings , there is an option labeled "Limit Intro Text", default is 50. However, this option can not work with Chinese words.

For example, if I use Chinese characters for the introtext content, without any English words or numbers. Then you will find out that ACM module can not show any Chinese words for Intro Text, just a "…" symbol there.

That means, ACM module does not know how to handle Chinese characters when it trying to truncate a long paragraph.

You can reproduce this issue if you copy some Chinese words from any Chinese website (e.g.: http://www.163.com ) to fill the introtext content, then test that article with ACM module.

I think this is a bug. Hope you will fix it soon.

    Thank you.

    Hi

May I know which type of JA ACM module are you referring to?

    The type is:

Magazine – Featured News : packery

But I think this may be an universal bug of all modules that developed by someone who do not know Chinese language.

There are some discussions about truncating Chinese words , but I do not know programming so I can not implement those code myself.

Maybe they can offer some help to you.

    For example:

I’m afraid that I’m not familiar with your native language – Chinese.

You can try with a Joomla module like Articles Category – it also have option to limit the introtext of article and see how it goes.
