September 11, 2014 at 6:34 pm #201243Hi there,
My website has a very strange problem. When going to the homepage and clicking one link, the next link which will be clicked does not work (results in 404).
This does not happen with the main meny links but it does happen with the menu’s in the footer and the sidebar-2 menu’s on the different pages.
So the first link (menu or whatever link) you click always works, the second link then results in a 404.
This is what happens:
1. go to http://www.mywebsite.com and click, via footer meny or sidebar menu, on http://www.mywebsite.com/myoffer
2. click on http://www.mywebsite.com/aboutus – this results in http://www.mywebsite.com/aboutus/myoffer which does not exist of course. So the first link is copied behind the second link you click on.
I hope I described the situation well. You can see for yourself when you use my website.
Help please! 🙂

September 12, 2014 at 9:34 am #549333I will check it when I’m home again.
Can you tell me how that happened? Because I did not change that setting myself.

September 17, 2014 at 3:20 pm #549883That was not the problem.
The solution: when creating a menu in the footer, you have to copy the whole address (e.g. http://mywebsite.com/index.php/aboutus instead of index.php/about us like I did).
