I created some hyperlinks (internal articles) from latest trailer module. But when I click on the link, the article does not open within the main ‘article-content’ in the middle along with other modules on either side. instead it opens separately without any modules at the sides but with top and other menu (grey horizontal bar at the top).

Here is the demo version of a normal full article ‘read more’ click –

how can I open those links within the main body content?

It must add itemid to that link . example : &itemid=1

Yes it has itemdID link as below.
http://web.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=85&catid=1&Itemid=1

but still opens weird.
