May 30, 2014 at 3:00 pm #198322Hi,
I don’t know if this is the right forum to ask this question, but I am desperately in need of some help. I have tried everything I can think of, but still I don’t understand what causes this problem and how I can solve it. I was hoping someone else had seen this before and could give me a helping hand.
I have just upgraded my Joomla 2.5.20 to Joomla 3.3.0, but because I kept getting white pages after upgrading from back-end, I used the extension SP Transfer, which transferred my menu, categories and articles to a new site. I have installed the template, JCE, etc from scratch.
Everything seems to work fine, but when I was adding some articles and links today, I met some issues. When I created an article, and link that article from an existing page, when I pressed the link it did not open, but went to the home page.
The essence is that it seems that articles saved within some categories does not get the meny-item (or path of menu item) added in front, when JCE is making the url path when adding links.
Look at the screenshots I attached. The first shows the path to a previous added article and link, and the second one is for an article created and link added today. The path “puppies/previous litters/b-litter/” is added before the category puppies (19-puppies) and the sub-category b-litter. I think the issues is caused by this path of menu items is not added before, and I don’t understand why it’s not added? I could also go straight to http://www.wayosi.no/b-litter and look at these links again, and again I see that the old link ads the meny item /b-litter/ in front, but that does not happen with the new link created today. I think this is the essence in my problem, but I don’t understand why this is happening.
So in short I see that links to articles within some categories are fine, independent on when they are created. But other articles, in “later” categories, are fine if they were added before the migration, but faulty when added today.
I can’t see that the categories are any different from eachother, and I have noticed that if I create a menu item for the article, it opens like it should. However, I can not create new menu items for each single article I create, this is simply not possible with the amount of articles I create.
I have really no idea what’s happening, and I would highly appreciate some help :((
