January 17, 2007 at 1:50 pm #118337After I installed the “Tabs and Slides” mambot
http://extensions.joomla.org/component/option,com_mtree/task,viewlink/link_id,1046/Itemid,35/
I discovered that there is a problem with the list style. The tabs are shown with the standard antares ul-li-images and style instead of the style defined in the mambot-css. This happens with several Joomlart-templates but not with others templates. Is there a way to avoid this?Thanks in advance,
Bernhard

January 22, 2007 at 10:46 am #213415Discovered another incompatibility with Tabs&Slides. The Font resizer of the template doesnt work when the Mambot is published. Does anyone use this popular mambot together with a Joomlart Template? It does work together with other templates e.g. Rockettheme by Andy Miller. So this must be a template problem. Any help with this would be great.
Thanks, Bernhard
April 12, 2007 at 9:40 pm #217841I am setting up a new Joomla site and also use tabs and slides (which is a fantastic little plugin). In fact, I came to this forum to find the fix for the font resizer/tabs and slide conflict. It only appears to be a problem for me on Firefox (IE works fine). However, since better than half of my users will be coming in with Firefox on the Mac, I can’t let it go.
If I turn off the the tabs and slides plugin, the text resizers work perfectly in Firefox. Turn it back on and we’re dead in the water again.
My test site is http://new.npsd.org with the JA Bellatrix template (uses the same resizer as Antares). The homepage has an example of a tab. Do note that if you go to a page without “story” content on it (meaning the tabs and slides plugin isn’t loaded), such as the Calendar, all works well. And, again, this is not a problem in IE 7…I’m not sure about IE 6 as I don’t have an IE6 machine handy now…but it definitely affects Firefox 2 for Mac and Windows as well as Safari.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Who makes the tabs a& slides component?
If it breaks a JA template thats working fine without it, I’d go to the manufacturers of the plug in for support, not that I wouldn’t like to help but they’d probably be able to diagnose within minutes etc where as I have never used it seen it in action much etc …….Cheers ShannonN

April 13, 2007 at 4:11 pm #217915Thanks for the reference. I had already posted there (no replies yet). To help in the troubleshooting process, which files are directly related to the text resizers? I am aware of jatemplatetools.php and the index.php file. I’m assuming there must be a javascript file somewhere too?

Hi William
in belatrix template the ja-script.js has this ref to font resizervar currentFontSize = 4;
function revertStyles(fontsize){
currentFontSize = fontsize;
changeFontSize(0);
}function changeFontSize(sizeDifference){
//get css font size
var rule = getRuleByName(“body.fs” + (currentFontSize + sizeDifference));
if (rule){
document.body.style.fontSize = rule.style.fontSize;
currentFontSize = currentFontSize + sizeDifference;
createCookie(“FontSize”, currentFontSize, 365);
equalHeight();
}
