Hi guys,
Thanks a lot for this great template!

I have a little problem in IE8, the width seems to be different compared to IE7 or Firefox. Do you have an idea on what should be changed?

Please see the pic to understand my standings.

Thanks in advance for your assistance 😉

It looks fine in the demo on my IE8 machine. Have you made any modifications? Please post a link to the affected page.

The site I’m actually making is at http://www.vagracing.ch. I’ve made some changes in CSS and tried to put it back to normal but the error seems to stay, kind of 1px difference…

I’ve just checked the demo site and have also the same problem 😉

Thanks a lot for your help.

My IE version is 8.0.6001

I cannot replicate on the demo site but can see the problem on yours. However, I can only view in IE8 using a tool on my linux box. I do not have a windows machine to do any debug until I get back to work next week. Maybe someone else can now take a look in the mean time.

you open file templates/ja_anion/css/mod_jaslideshow2.css and find line
.ja-slidewrap { border: 0; overflow: hidden; }
and change to :
.ja-slidewrap { border: 0; overflow: hidden; margin-left: -1 !important }
I’ve found this reading the source of the page, could that be a possibily (width 99.99%)? If its possible which file should I look?

<blockquote> <!– MAIN CONTAINER –>
<div id=”ja-container” class=”wrap ja-mf”>

<div class=”main clearfix”>

<div class=”top”><div class=”tl”></div><div class=”tr”></div></div>
<div class=”mid clearfix”><div class=”ml”></div>
<div class=”main-inner clearfix”>

<div id=”ja-mainbody” style=”width:99.99%”>
<!– CONTENT –>
<div id=”ja-main” style=”width:99.99%”>
<div class=”inner clearfix”>

<div id=”ja-contentwrap” class=”clearfix “>
<div id=”ja-content” class=”column” style=”width:99.99%”>
<div id=”ja-current-content” class=”column” style=”width:99.99%”>

<div id=”ja-content-main” class=”ja-content-main clearfix”>
</blockquote>

Thanks a lot for your assistance,

Hi all,
Txs for the hint, I did’nt changed anything. That was just an idea.

However your template is still showing a difference even in your template demo, did you find a solution to solve this 1px left difference in IE8 :(( ?

Thanks a lot for your assistance, it’s a great template but this difference breaks a little bit the design and my visitors are at 80% using IE8…

you create new file template-ie8.css in folder templatesja_anioncss
you open file template-ie8.css add new line
#ja-main .inner {
margin-left: -1px !important;
}
then it will fix bug only in IE8
