I have been active member for a while with JA, and i must say you produce absolutely amazing templates, templates that nobody can match.

Now i do have few things i must say since i have been following other frameworks too..

JA has been doing great job with updates but also not so great on few major templates too, JA Teline IV is still not full version but beta with few bugs there, not solving those bugs is starting to make me look for another one. it havent been updated in over 4 months now at all. Framework also is getting behind others since most of other frameworks have been starting to include the Google Analytics in the framework, they have been also starting to include start and error pages by default in most of their templates too, HTML5 is a standard now too… as well as few other things too…

I was wondering if there is work on new framework, updated version with those things in mind, but bugs are the number one thing of course.

Bugs and improvements should be number one priority in my opinion, even if it means skipping one month of new template.

Teline IV has number of features that were promised before, left out, it has become an ordinary template with bugs instead of your FLAG SHIP template…

so my question to you is what is your plan? is there work to include a lot of things that people fix themselves into framework, like problem with localized date that people have to fix themselves, like the expectation of major upgrade for teline iv?

Thanks if some of the staff members responsible could give us a statement of the upcoming changes or roadmaps would be great

Teline IV is still marked as Beta (the J1.6 versionwhich I assume is what you are talking about) simply because K2 is not available. Many of the bugs that you mention have been fixed not in the template but in the plugin release and the release of components that go with it. With the JAT3 framework you will see a lot less updates to the actual templat as many things can be ironed out in the framework. If you have a specific problem then please tell use and I will raise the required work for you.

HTML5? Can you give an example and why would it be needed in the template element? Surely most HTML5 features should be in your content not the overall design.

Including analytics in the template in my mind just includes bulk but it would be nice to have a simple method to include stuff in the head of the document. It is actually very simple to do by copying a file into your template folder and adding the code there and it has been documented in many threads. I assume you would like to see something in the back end for adding that sort of thing?

As for the date localization I believe that has been fixed in a later release of the framework but I will ask.

thanks, just wanted to hear opinion, but in the framework for analytics code or the code in the template backend to be included saves loading a lot more plugins or modules on site… its a lifesaver… 🙂
