You meant that it should show items more quickly, right? You can set the number of items shows for each load via Home menu item in back-end > Blog Layout option > set number of ‘Intro Articles’ as you wish.

Yes, I meant that. I just did this and loading is still the same. Too slow, only 5 articles.
