I know this is probably simple, but I don’t remember how to do this exactly. I remember being able to create a module in where I can retrieve the contents of an article and display it as I want it with certain number of characters, images, etc. I am able to do this with the JA News featured module, but all I want to do is display one article that’s currently on another page and be able to include more than one images. Currently only 1 image comes up from the article instead of 2.

Is there a different way to do this?

Hi, I cant understand exactly what you plan to do with this module…

    a) you like this module shows your recent news (of a specified category) and shows more than one image?
    b) you like this module shows a static piece of text with some images?

If this module show up a fixed piece of other article, you can try using Custom HTML module, the easy way!
In what part of your site you plan to use this module – home, services, or blog area?

All I would like to do is display one fixed article on my homepage, with about 1750 max characters limit, both images that are in this article should show up, and it should include a “read more” at the bottom of the article if they want to read the rest. When they click on “read more,” it just takes them to the original article.

Let me know if that explanation makes it any clearer.

Ok, can you please send me access to admin? (use restricted area or PM if neccessary) and I help you.
And to make this easier, can you indicate in what position you like this modules working? If you can attach a mockup of your home page with this position indicated its better!
    Regards

Hi, you are using ‘Featured Articles’ in your home page, which limits some things (like second image)

You can use a simple article called ‘Home’ – in this case of static frontend you have some more flexibility to format what you like in your frontpage (with static article)

    Steps as easy as:

1 – create a new static page called ‘Home’ and put in it all your text and images desired, you can link this article using a simple button linking to your full article (as a Read More)

2 – go to admin menu area, click on your actual ‘Home’ button and in ‘Menu Item Type’ change it to ‘Articles > Single Article’ and inidicate previous created page (home)

    Hope this helps!

P.S – Default Joomla homepage is a page like a ‘blog style’ called Featured Articles… a static page sometimes its easy to manage as a initial page…
