Hello all.
On a Joomla 2.5.7 with T3 2 and JA Purity ii for 2.5:
I created a folder structure “my-profile” right under “../ja_purity_ii/local/”
In my-profile I created the folder structure: css, images and so on.In the template admin panel, I created a new profile “my-profile” and assigned it to all pages.
I inserted some overrides into “template.css” (here: “../my-profile/css/”).
Cleared browser cache.
My overrides are not applied on the web site. What am I missing?
Also, when I created a new layout in the template admin panel, it was saved under “/ja_purity_ii/etc/layouts” – NOT under “/local” – WHY?
Thanks!

September 27, 2012 at 10:55 am #468364You misnderstood about JA T3 framework. You need to make profile, layout, theme from JA Template of Admin site.
Element on theme(css, images and so on). You proceed to upload theme into JA Template of Admin site and displaythe page with profile created. Please read more detail about guide JAT3 Framework
September 29, 2012 at 3:06 pm #468559Thanks, Ninja, but I’m still confused, after having carefully read the whole guide.
In this guide, two overrides (folder structures) are mentioned:
1. one placed under “…core/themes”
2. the other placed under “…ja_purity_ii/local/user-theme”If my goal is to have several css overrides that sustain framework AND template upgrades, my understanding is that I need to use the second option, as “LOCAL” folder is not replaced during upgrades. Am I correct?
However, it is not properly explained how am I to apply this LOCAL/user-theme structure to an active profile.
What am I missing?
Thanks!Ninja Lead ModeratorNinja Lead

October 1, 2012 at 4:11 am #468646I found on our forum. About make theme on JA Template. I can read it.
About make new theme
+ Make new folder theme with structure info.xml, css folder, image…
+ Upload this theme from admin area site of template
+ Appear theme with menu page and it will override with default JA Theme.October 3, 2012 at 7:33 pm #469046OK, I understand and got it to work:
Zipped my theme and uploaded it, then used it in my profiles.
HOWEVER, it is still not deployed under “LOCAL” folder.
What is the local folder for then? when it is used and how? Thanks!

You can not define other folder on themeThis is sample about theme on JA Template. Look at file attached!
After uploading JA Template from Admin area, you can see it on this path
<blockquote>templates/ja_purity_ii/themes</blockquote>
