    Hi Folks,

I have had an issue which has been unresolved for some time now, and I would like other people opinions and feedback please.

I have multi level locations set up on my job board, like the example below:

    North East
    — Cleveland
    — County Durham
    — Northumberland
    — Teeside
    — Tyne and Wear
    North West
    — Cheshire
    — Cumbria
    — Greater Manchester
    — Lancashire
    — Manchester
    — Merseyside

There appears to be an inconsistency in how the various searches handle multi level locations.

If I go to search in the Filter Jobs module, selecting a parent location like ‘North West’, you can see it automatically select the lower locations too.

If I go to set up a Job Alert / Saved Search, selecting a parent location does not automatically select the lower locations.

This has previously meant that the two searches produce different results, although the Joomlart Team have fixed this now, and although the interface doesn’t appear to include the child locations, they are now included in the search results.

    Two questions:

    • Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me?
    • Does anyone else think that this is very confusing for the visitor to see similar interfaces behave differently?

    Thanks for your feedback,
    Gavin.

Thank you so much for bringing us such an idea.

I have already reported this to our development team via http://pm.joomlart.com/browse/JAJB-616

We are looking into and we will inform the updates if any.
