I am getting locked MySQL queries and need some help. This is after the upgrade from J! 1.5 to 2.5. Using Teline IV.

I would like to shut off the image rendering in Teline IV and just use JCE to place the images, along with captions. Thinking that perhaps JCE and Teline IV are at war with each other, maybe?

Has anyone seen anything like this? Help, please.

Did you create a new directory for your joomla 2.5 before the upgrade and how was the upgrade performed?

I did create a new directory for Joomla 2.5. I installed the Teline IV quickstart in that directory after creating the DB and user in PHPMyAdmin, then brought content over using SPU Upgrade component and package. I reorganized the categories to fit the News component. I then brought my menu over from the old site, tweaked that so it fit the new categories.

Then I moved the old site to its own directory, moved the new site to the main directory, editing the config file’s tmp and log paths accordingly.

I have never used or heard of SPU Upgrade component. Can you give me a link to it so I can study and I will also ask if someone may be familiar with it that could step in to help you.

***** On the side, I’m wondering if I’m running into trouble since I kept all of the menus and many of the modules from the quickstart package. Seems like every time I try to delete modules from the quickstart package, my site slows down. Is there some connection between the menus and modules I need to know about? Should I delete quickstart modules and menus at the same time? :((

Disable Teline template and see if issue persists. I do not think this is a template issue.

Have you also tried to click the “fix database tab”?

1. Navigate to the extension manager
2. Click on database
3. If there are issues with your database the issues will be noted in the log on the page.
4. If there are no issues you will receive a success message.
5. To fix these issues simply hit fix.

See this doc on Joomla.org to also be sure you followed the steps properly.
