    Hello,

I have been trying to figure this out all day and am at a loss. Any help much appreciated I am happy to provide log in details to get it sorted asap 🙂

When people are directed to my site (http://www.seims-dlr.co.uk/) I need them to first have to log into the site and dependent on what user rights they have, they are able to see certain parts of the site.

I have set up my different users; I haven’t yet assigned what they can and can’t see however I am struggling to work the log in module as I don’t want it to be my home page… but the home page before the home page if that makes sense?

I initially made all my main menu items access level to registered… but I was then getting the default ‘login form component’ which wasn’t really working well. If I were a super user logging in via this form I kept getting a random aticle/s pop up on the home page that I could not find anywhere in the back end. The only way this would work if all I could do was see content and not edit it.

In fact even when I have the Login module enabled as I do now– when logging in articles still come up that I cannot find in the back end administration (and I have looked in the trash).

So basically just trying to work out how to get my site directed to a single log in that then takes you into the home page…?

    Many thanks in advance
    Caroline

    Hi ghd123,

I checked your site, the Home (ENG) menu item is Featured Articles type with User Login article.

That’s why Login Module appears on you homepage. You can remove this User Login article or change Menu item type for ENG.

Secondly, You can assign access permissions to each user type on “Access” field of each menu/module.
In addition, in backend or Login module, you can set Login Redirection Page & Logout Redirection Page.

    Regards,

    Leo
