    I’m using the Genista template and when trying to login with the login module (with an erroneous username or password) there is no error message shown anywhere. If I use the Milkyway template I get a red frame in the top of the body specifying: “Username and password do not match or you do not have an account yet.”. The same goes for an faulty user registration, i.e. no error message. In Milkyway it clearly states: This e-mail is already registered. If you forgot the password click on Lost your Password and a new password will be sent to you.

    Is there a way to turn this error message “module” on? It’s very anoying that the site just “swallows” the error without informing the visitor.

    Hope someone can help me out…

    I’ve just installed the 1.5 quickstart version (that I downloaded yesterday) and populated it with example data. I suppose the quickstart is updated with the latest Genista-code?

    You open index.php file in templatesja_genista folder :
    find code section at about line 137 :

    <jdoc:include type="component" />

    change to :


    <jdoc:include type="message" />
    <jdoc:include type="component" />

    Hope can help you ! I think that JA will fix it in version for joomla 1.5.2
