April 15, 2011 at 5:50 am #162809Hello,
I’m trying to add login/registration buttons similar to the ones found in Community Plus. Is that an extension or a code-edit? I’d like to have it placed where the search-bar currently is.Thanks

April 15, 2011 at 11:11 am #386546The buttons display is achieved using 1 image (light and dark colored rounded boxes) and styling in css.

April 15, 2011 at 11:22 am #386550Thanks himangi,
I’m less interested in the shading effect, and more interested in the pop-up windows that show up when you click a button. How can I setup similar (or simpler) buttons on the “searchbar” location of JA Rave?

April 15, 2011 at 11:57 am #386556When I put the Ja Login Module in the “search” position, the whole module appears, and not the buttons.
How can I set up two popup buttons (login/registration) similar to Community Plus?

April 15, 2011 at 1:25 pm #386566Hi,
- You will need to copy all the styling related to ja-quickaccess from JA Community Plus template.css
- ja-quickaccess is the position in which login module loads in this template.
- After you copy the styling in your template.css, change ja-quickaccess to your_position_name.
- Once you do this, the functionality will take effect, but you will need to change styling to match your template..

April 16, 2011 at 9:10 am #386669Hi Himangi,
I tried what you wrote but nothing happened. Here’s a recap:
1. I copied all the ja-quickaccess styling into template.css. (bottom of page, 2nd to last item)
2. I tried changing the Login module to “ja-quickaccess” position, but it doesn’t show up as an available position option.
3. Do you mean change the template.ccs lines “#ja-quickaccess {position: absolute” to “position: search” as well as “#ja-quickaccess #ja-user-register, #ja-quickaccess #ja-user-login {display: none;position: absolute;” to “position: search”?
4. Do I need to upload each image referenced in the ja-quickaccess coding before it’s able to work?
Thanks for your help!

April 16, 2011 at 9:35 am #386672Hi,
I am sorry, I guess I was not clear enough.
- This is fine.
- In the JA Community Plus template, JA Login module is published in ja-quickaccess, in JA Rave, the module should be published in ja-search (where the search box is placed as shown in demo of JA Rave).
- Now in your template.css, you need to replace ja-quickaccess with ja-search. Check if the styling for the login link has changed.
- Yes, you will need to copy all the images used for JA Login module in JA Community Plus and paste them in your template/images folder.
So you need to publish JA Login module in ja-search position. If you publish it in ja-quickaccess position, it will not show since JA Rave does not have that position.
Check if you can see login / create account etc links from frontend.1 user says Thank You to himangi for this useful post

April 19, 2011 at 8:56 pm #387148Thank you himangi! I actually decided to use the extension “YooLogin,” since it was easier to do so. But I appreciate your help nonetheless.
I really like the JA Community Plus login/registration feature (specially because if pops out), but couldn’t find a similar extension to download. It would be great is JoomlArt created a stand-alone extention like the one in the template (even better if customizable).
Best regards,
