Hi- sorry if this is osted 2 x but I can’t see y other posting here.

I have created a new logo.gif image and uploaded it to the template/ images folder and replaced the file OK.

I went to template editor and switced from text to image and saved the changes.

This usually uupdates the page with the new logo on thetop left position.

It dosn’t see to want to update and the original logo stays there.. very baffling?

Any idea why this won’t work? ( I updated the file then deleted the original-then renamed the new file- so I now it’s the right image there on the server)

    Thnks -Craig

Hi- thanks for the suggestion- this didn’t change anything. I can toggle to “text” ode and refresh the template in the browser, so it’s not cookies needing clearing.

I checked the CSS / header and the logo.gif image is the correct file…when I hover over the image on the template- I cannot see the file.

Is the header got some flash with the image imbedded or something?

    Still not making sense..

    Thanks for assistance here..

why not start up with your site url?
read what we recommend you to post when having problems!
Site url, joomla version and so on

It is a fresh “quick install” of the latest Olivline template.

Site URL is not important- you can see the old image there. Save your time.

    Is the header using Flash?????

The template is go/ no go by later today.

    Thanks.

Does not help me much here…
If you still need help read this:

Support Rules (If you want to get support, please read instructions below so that we can help better)

    1. Provide your website URL?
The reason that we ask for this is so we can check your site for the specific description of the error you get.

    2. Provide information about components/modules/mambots installed?
There are many components/modules/mambots that conflict with a script or breaks the template, and this errors is not template specific and its easier for us to try to solve the problem if we know what you have installed.

    3. Which version of Joomla do you use?
Time changes, and so does Joomla. There have been many changes since the beginning, and the templates are built and tested for the latest one.

    4. Have you made any modifications to the template?
This is the most important answer.
Please be as specific as you can on this point, you don't need to tell the whole process, but "I added two new modules in footer" would be enough.

These rules are subject to change at any point, with or without prior notice. It is important you regularly check these rules.

Is this the official response on behalf of Joomla Art and it’s rightful owners?

I appreciate the first available response by Menalto/ Developer and Member..however, reiterating the forum fundementals, however approporaite, is currently inapproporiate as I have supplied the current version etc. and itemized the issue AND asked a SPECIFIC question.

It is just as easy to respond with a helpful answer as to say “then fix it yourself”.

If someone (including Menalto) has an answer and can help me move along -I am most grateful.

    Thanking all in advance.

I might ask what the full correct path is for the logo image?

It is truncated in the CSS/Header description.

I assume it’s the same for all templates- this is usually very easy to swap..

    THanks guys.

Look, the reason i ask for your site url is to help you out faster.
This have taken now several hours and if you had included the site url it could have been solved in first post.
Logo image is located in folder —–>images/logo.png/logo.jpg/logo.gif
    OR located in ——–>/images/bluegreen/logo.png/logo.jpg/logo.gif

This depends on which color you have set as default,, so just check in the images/colors you have choosen folder for the logo if you have changed that one.

****, i sounds like an idiot, why didnt i post this in first place?
