July 5, 2008 at 9:42 pm #130492Hello All,
When I click on “home” from my mainmenu it takes me to the correct home page but when I click on the logo in the top left corner of the page it takes me to a homepage that only displays one article.
I want to correct it so “home” from the main menu and the logo take me to the same page.
Thanks for your help.
todd

July 8, 2008 at 1:53 pm #258577Home page – http://benrud.net/
Logo page – http://benrud.net/index.phpThese both look the same and they DON’T display all the modules I want. I want them to diplay as the following link does.
Main Menu Home Link – http://benrud.net/index.php?option=com_content&view=frontpage&Itemid=87
How do I correct this so that all three pages look the same?
Thanks,

September 12, 2008 at 3:49 am #270167I still don’t have this corrected.
My domain name and main logo take me to a page that only displaies one article. Those pages don’t show the slideshow or any other modules.
But if I click on “home” from my main menu I see a different page. This page has the slideshow and other modules.
I want all three pages to look the same. How do I correct this?
doamin name – http://benrud.net
Logo link page – http://benrud.net/index.phpMain Menu Home – http://benrud.net/index.php?option=com_content&view=frontpage&Itemid=87
I want all three to look the same, like “main menu home” – http://benrud.net/index.php?option=com_content&view=frontpage&Itemid=87
Thanks,

September 12, 2008 at 8:48 pm #270251nguoiabcd,
I already had that set. Please see screenshot –
I’m usin a new mainmenu as per your post here – http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/link-to-categoryblog-doesnt-work/
<blockquote>Hi all.
With quickstart, you have that problem, but if you create news menu, you will not have that error.
You can wait new version of quickstart, or try to create new menu as you want

</blockquote>I’ve created the new mainmenu and have “home” set as default, but I can’t position the module where it should be, in the “built in Function A”. How can I do that?
Please help me fix this problem.
Thanks,

September 12, 2008 at 10:11 pm #270258<blockquote>Home page – http://benrud.net/
Logo page – http://benrud.net/index.php</blockquote>the links are right, that is the way joomla does it and this is not a templte issue, but a joomla issue
OK
you home is set to show article on frontpage. that is correctnow, go to extensions, module manager and make sure that each module that you want to show on the front page is set to home under the menu assignment section at the bottom of each modules parameters, this includes your new main menu module, you can choose the position for it under details, position of its parameters..
now if you want the link on the new main menu to be http://benrud.net/index.php,
go to menus /and click the name of your new menu, then create a new menu item for home, except this time you want to use either external link or alias and past this http:// benrud. net/ index. php in the url box (remove the spaces if your copying), and you will have what you wantgood luck
