Hi,
Question1: I have inserted a new logo and changed the width to 900px in the stylesheet (h1.logo), but it looks scrunched to me. I also tried leaving it at 100%, that didn’t display correctly either.
I’ve looked around for a place to change the width elsewhere, but can’t find anything else. I am thinking maybe there is some module published to the left or right of it?
Question 2: When I change slideshow folders to display new pictures, the first one appears, but the slideshow stops working.
Thanks a gazillion,

It worked. I am used to editing using Dreamweaver–I thought I could edit the logo to any width, size, etc. I can tell there is going to be a huge learning curve with this.
Now I need to figure out why the slideshow won’t play. I thought I’d be clever by just changing the path to folder from the default folder to the one that came in the template, but whenever I make a change, it stops working. I will try to reinstall the slideshow from scratch again and look around more carefully to see what the settings are.
Thanks again for your time.
Best,

September 28, 2008 at 5:13 pm #272857Try to do that and let us know if you still have any problems?
September 28, 2008 at 5:34 pm #272870Okay, I uninstalled the slideshow again, including a slideshow.css sheet that was in the css folder. I reinstalled and the food story reappeared in the lower left corner–fading and changing, as it should.
THEN, i changed only the location–from ‘left’ (the default when I enabled it) to ‘topsl’ and the slideshow stopped working. Then I tried to change the location back to left. It still won’t work again.
ARGH.
Thank you!
WendyIgnore this below…this is from before–only the top part of this message is now relevant…
I uninstalled the slidshow module, deleted the folder, then reinstalled it from my harddrive and enabled it again. it didn’t work even the first time this time. after that i changed the path so I can see my first photo, but no automatically changing pics–and I didn’t change any of the module settings, other than size and width to accomodate the photo size. there must be a conflict. i need to sort out how many i places I need to look, for ex., do I change settings thru module manager and then also update the slideshow css sheet, or maybe there is yet another file that is managing things.
in any case, i will go back to this tutorial book i have and read thru to see if it doesn’t give me some clues as to how to go about using joomla.
big whew!
thanks again for your previous answer!
