Hello all,

I have just got a brand new dedicated server and setup my site plus installed the Jasocial quickstart. I really need someone to sort out the problems as I have been trying for ages but to no avail ;-(

I can give any passwords etc that are needed. Just feel like I am banging my head against a brick wall now.

    Many thanks in advance

    Pete

    Hi aman204,

Many thanks for the reply. First thing that I have notice is that when I try to load the agora forum I just get a blank page. Secondly when I try to upload components I get an error “Warning! Failed to move file.” I have tried everything to get rid of it but with no success. I think I need some limits changing in the php.ini file which I am unable to do myself (I don’t know what or how to do it). I also think that it needs to have safe mode turning off.

If you would be able help me I can gladly give you all the passwords etc that you need.

    Many thanks

    Pete 🙂

    1) To ensure, did you deploy in quickstart package using this way::

    * Upload the zip file to your host and extract it using cPanel or other File Manger Tools if possible.

    http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/how-to-install-joomla-quickstart-package/

as this is quite convinient and safe way for deployment.

    2) Also, seems that you are using plesk control panel so please ensure that you havent used used fantastico.

    3) Try to re-install agora forum component::

Ok… I have been through all the forum posts and tried every option that I can see and still cannot get this to work.

Im getting this on the front page “JFolder::create: Path not in open_basedir paths” (tried all options but cant get it working)

also I get this error when trying to upload a component “Warning! Failed to move file.”

I really need someone to have a look at this for me please.

    Anyone… I am desperate 🙁

    Many thanks

    Pete
