April 16, 2007 at 9:26 pm #119707Nice clean template – great.
1. Tabs in the right top corner are awsome. is it a module using ajax ?
2. I guess the video module below is still under development but it looks very nice and clean.

Yes, it is using AJAX, and thank you for your comments!<blockquote> 2. I guess the video module below is still under development but it looks very nice and clean.</blockquote>
What you see is in fact just a picture, an example if you’d like to call it that. Please note that at this present time, JoomlArt does not plan to create a video module, however you can take a look at http://extensions.joomla.org if you’d like to find a 3rd party module.June 24, 2007 at 8:51 pm #222654Okay…I’m just starting to get the hang of it…haven’t even started tabs yet, but I think this is one of the best templates we’ve used so far! Thanks for making it!
I would love to get some tips on inserting the page background image we’re trying to use. I was testing with low-res images, but will be working on trying to make them crisp and inviting. Any tips on the best sizing for the millions of browsers, screen sizes, video cards, etc…?
Thanks,
Beth
3by400, Inc.June 24, 2007 at 11:34 pm #222658Try ‘All Videos Plugin 2.x (mambot) from http://joomlaworks.gr.
Also, see ‘All-in-one Video Poche Buttons 2.5’ at http://www.videodepoche.com/.They are both FREE.
It works in JA_Teline and it is extremely easy to use. See the instructions included in the installed mambot.
With this plugin (mambot) you can play videos remotely (Google Video, YouTube, etc.) or from your server in 30+ different formats. All you do is type simple tags and enter the video’s id. For example:
{google}7846329{/google}This you type in the content field (either Intro or Main). It is so simple.
There is no conflict with JA_News.
See the example at: http://canadawatch.org .
The Front Page video is a module placed in position User 5. I named this module ‘Sicko’ – Trailer – (this is where the title line above the video comes from.) In this module, in the content field, I simply entered the tags and the id of the video. The only reason I had to enter a Metacafe video here is that it had to be smaller that the other videos run by the same mambot. To see the other videos, scroll down to Resources –>Multimedia. (You set the size of the videos in the All Videos mambot itself.)
The website is not launched yet, I am just experimenting and trying to load it with some sample content. One day, it will take off.
Take care…
