    Hello JA Support,

first thanks a lot for the amazing work. I use ja_purity since Joomla 1.5 and very appreciate the high quality of you products. Obiously since my way to Joomla 1.7 I went lost in the forest of releases and free/not free versions available from JA. Maybe you can help me on it.

Currently on my Joomla 1.7 I have ja_purity_ii 1.1.0 template and the plugin JA T3 Framework 1.2.7. Is it the JA T3 II Framework? Does it fit to the ja_purity_ii 1.1.0 template and to Joomla 1.7?

My next question is: why my top menu appears to be assigned to two! modules, both are positioned left and are unpublished. Class suffixes of that modules are -nav and _menu.

    see also attached screenshots.

The top menu is working on my site, but megamenu futures like feed-in etc. are not working. I’ve tried to remove the existing menu-module assignments and relpacing them by amother module in the hornav position. But then the top menu simly diappeared.

I really appreciate you help. At least to know, it the installed JA software is consistant would help a lot.

    Best regards.

A beta version of the JAT3 framework, version 1.3.0beta is available for download. Please test that with J1.7.

Thanks for that. Today I explored a little bit the Versions of JA and undrestood following:

The Joomla 1.5 Plugin: T3 Framework (tagged as 2009 version for Joomla 1.5) (necessary to get JA Purity template working ) has a Version 1.0.3

The corresponding JA Purity II template for Joomla 1.5 has a version 1.2.1

    then we have

T3 Framework 2 for Joomla 1.5 ( tagged as 2010 version) (necessary to get JA Purity II template working ) has a Version 1.2.7

what JA Purity II template version corresponds to that, I don’t know. Probably 1.2.1

    and finally we have

T3 Framework 2 for Joomla 1.6 & 1.7(tagged as 2010 version) (necessary to get JA Purity II template working ) has a Version 1.3.0 Beta

The corresponding JA Purity II template for Joomla 1.6 has a version 1.1.1 (lower than the 1.2.1 for J15?)

I created a copy of my site and will install today T3 Framework 2 Version 1.3.0 Beta and

JA Purity II template for Joomla 1.6 version 1.1.1.

I will report my experience later.

    Best regards

    Hello,

today I’ve installed T3 Framework 2 Version 1.3.0 Beta and JA Purity II template for Joomla 1.6 version 1.1.1. on my Joomla 1.7 site without any problems.

Then I deleted the two module assignments to the top menu (see my initial post). So now the Top Menu is not assigned to any module.

Then I checked the ja_purity_II template settings. In the settings -> Profiles I set “Top Menu” as Menu Type. The menu is now working well besdes the fact, that the animation “Fade” doesn’t work.

But now I have a new problem. In Joomla 1.7 multilanguage sites must have one menu (and menu type) for each language. In JA Purity II I can assign only one menu type. So no way to use it for a multilanguage sites in Joomla 1.7. Any solution for that?

Thanks in advance for any hints. Best regards.

I have never really had any experience with multi language sites in Joomla so I cannot really help there. Maybe one of the other supporters can assist. I do know it can be done with this template as I have seen sites doing just that.

However, for the rotating header please read fully through the following thread to see how it can be done, particularly posts #25 and #28. – http://www.joomlart.com/forums/showthread.php?51595-JA-Purity-II-Header-not-rotating&highlight=purity+header

    Hello Phill,

thanks for reply. Creation of multilanguage sites and use of JA_Purity_II template was possible in Joomla 1.5 and 1.6 because one menu could contain all languages in those releases.

But in Joomla 1.7 there is a major change. Now if you have 3 languages, you have to create 3 menus. Since in JA_Purity_II template only one menu can be assigned, it seems to be a serious limitation.

Maybe there is a workaround, and one from JA can guide us. Otherwise this limitation should be addressed to development of JA, what do you think?

I shall raise the question as it does sound like an important issue.

Is there any news on this issue? Since this really is a major problem.

    Hi gerasan,

the workaround for that is to create different profiles in template manager for each language and assign pages, there, to the profiles you defined. in each profile you can choose your menu type. you have to have for example, mainmenu-en, mainmenu-fr and also mainmenu-all as menu types and create with the same name these menus.

By the way have you experienced any problem on template style for Internet Explorer as well? does the css style work with ja purity ii with joomla 1.7 on IE?

    Hi Ometha,

exactly that workaround I implemented already. It is working great. Thanks.

Regarding IE: you can test the site by yourself if you want.
    It is myadmg.com

I don’t see major bugs, to me the template is doing what it shoud. But I use only basic funcions of that powerful template.

    Minor not working features are
    1. Animation “Fade”
    2. Template Cache
But this is general and not specific to IE. And to be ownest I have not seriously investigated yet, since that are no showstopper for me.
    Best regards.

    update:

just installed JA T3 Framework plugin 1.3.0 Stable and ja_purity_ii 1.2.0 on my Joomla 1.7 site.

Animation “Fade” is now working fine.

    Template Cache doesn’t work.

Another bug is now specifically for IE9. But I am not sure, if it belongs to ja_purity_ii:

on this Page forms are not displayed
    http://myadmg.com/en/contacts/6-info

In Chrome forms are working fine.

    Hope this helps. Best regards.

    Hi gerasan

The form contact is related to 1 issue of Joomla 1.7. However, in the new version Joomla 1.7.1 this issue was fixed.

    Refs:
    http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?p=2630992
    http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/ie9-with-1-7-and-the-global-config/

    Solutions:
    1. You should upgrade to Joomla 1.7.1
    2. Or you apply quick fix in here: http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/joomla/tracker/?action=TrackerItemEdit&tracker_item_id=26448
