Hello, i had language and page assignments set with methys template, i installed the same template over it and all assigments were lost. Is it normal?, is there any way to backup or conserve the assignments? Thanks

    Hi,

    Have you upgraded JA Methys template from J1.5 to J2.5 or 2.5.x to over 2.5.5 version (Joomla 2.5) ?

    I remember to have seen that behaviour with 2.5.x to 2.5.5 , and 2.5.5 over 2.5.5 . I create a user-profile and when i reinstall the template methys retrurns to default profile. At least the profiles and user-theme aren’t lost. But i can’t imagine configure a multi language site and loose all profiles after template update.

    P.S. Using Joomla 2.5.11

    Hi,

I create a user-profile and when i reinstall the template methys retrurns to default profile

    The page & menu assignments, modified profiles will be lost when uninstalling the template. It is really normal.

    They are the available profiles which are integrated in our JA Methys template package. So, they always exist if you install this template.

    Do you have any backup of your site? pls try to restore it

    I meant reinstall without uninstalling. The question is, will language and pages assignments be lost when i update a template¿?, or should i backup params.ini to not loose the assignments? Thanks

    Hi,

The question is, will language and pages assignments be lost when i update a template¿?

    I’m sorry for my missing note in previous reply. Language & page assignments are LOST when updating, reinstalling a template. Because the template customization will be overriden by new template update, installation.
    So, you should backup your params.ini which restore profile assignments to pages (i.e):

    pages_profile="all=defaultn435=greenn522, 525, 527, 528, 529, 526, 539, 540, 541=homen"
