I have no read more links in anything under ja teline ii except the 1 leading article for ja-news-fp. No readmores on the section and category pages. None on the other ja-news-fp listed articles and none in the ja-news box. I did use the trick posted here to add them to the ja-news box, but they aren’t formatted like they’re supposed to be so I think this was just a work around:

And, yes, I do have the readmores turned on in parameters under content manager, and my articles do all have readmores. I am using the JCE editor instead of TinyMCE, and I can’t help thinking that might be the problem. Although I use the same insert readmore button and it gives it the same class:

<hr id=”system-readmore” />

But it doesn’t look like it used to. The readmore, in the editor, used to be a red doted line, and now it just looks like a plain HR. So, stylesheet not linked? JCE just not goona work for me?

OK, I figured it out. It did have something to do with having Jomcomment installed. Under jomcomment component general settings, go to Layout tab, untick Use JomComment’s read more. This will put joomla template read mores back on all the pages. Enjoy.
